Under the banner of Sanjay S Dutt Productions, Sanjay along with his wife and co-producer Maanayata Dutt has ventured into Marathi film industry with their first film ‘Baba’. Abhijeet Khandkekar, who is a household name of the small screen, with his character ‘Gurunath Subhedar’ from ‘Majhya Navryachi Bayko’, will be playing the 2nd lead in this film along with ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ fame Deepak Dobriyal.

Abhijeet recently shared a new poster of his film ‘Baba’ on his Instagram handle. Abhijeet will be starring with Spruha Joshi, Deepak Dobriyal, Jaywant Wadkar, Shailesh Datar and child artist Aaryan Menghji in this film.

‘Baba’ is a story of a speech-impaired innocent boy, living in a small village atop a picturesque hill with his parents who are poor, uneducated and speech impaired but love him to the best of their abilities. The story, as it unfolds, talks about the struggle of this little boy when suddenly his biological parents come down to claim him as their son. The amazing screenplay of this film sends a powerful message to the audience that ‘feelings have no language’.

The name of the film ‘Baba’ is Sanjay’s tribute to his father. Sanjay S Dutt Productions has co-produced the film with Blue Mustang Creations, who had also produced the Marathi film Bucket List starring Madhuri Dixit.
